Samantha Akkineni, who has delivered three hit movies this year- Mahanati, Rangasthalam, and Irumbu Thirai/ Abhimanyudu, is currently busy in her upcoming bilingual Telugu – Tamil woman centric movie U Turn, (the remake of Kannada blockbuster of same name) which will be released in the second half of the year. Now according to the latest buzz in the film Industry, Samantha Akkineni has been approach to play the lead role in an upcoming untitled woman centric movie, which will be helmed by debutant Girisayya. The talk has been initiated. The sources close to Samantha Akkineni say that recently the makers contacted Samantha and she is very impressed with her character. Her role and look will be totally different in this movie. It is going to be a totally unique character. Though Samantha has given her verbal consent but did not sign the movie yet. If everything will go accordingly, the movie will go on the floor in August.
In U Turn, Samantha Akkineni is playing the role of a journalist whereas Aadhi Pinisetty will be seen playing a police officer. It is being helmed by Pawan Kumar, who directed the original too. Bhumika Chawala and Rahul Ravindran are playing the important roles.
Apart from U Turn, Samantha Akkineni is also the part of Ponram’s directorial venture Seema Raja, in which she will be seen in village belle avatar. The movie starring Sivakarthikeyan, Napoleon, Simran, Soori, Yogi Babu, Manobala and others, is scheduled to hit the theaters on 13 September 2018. Samantha Akkineni will also be seen in another Tamil crime thriller drama Super Deluxe, in which Vijay Sethupathi is playing the lead role.
