Sanju hurts S*x workers: Sanju, is an upcoming biopic on Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. A complaint against Sanju has been filed, alleged that Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Rajkumar Hirani used derogatory language against s*x workers.
On Wednesday, The National Commission for Women received a complaint against Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor who is playing the role of Sanjay Dutt, in the upcoming movie Sanju, for allegedly making derogatory remarks against s*x workers in the film, the Commission chairperson said today. According to complainant , Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and director Rajkumar Hirani used derogatory language against sex workers in Sanju.
The complaint is filed by an Advocate Gaurav Gulati against Sanju. The National Commission has sent notices to actors Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and director Rajkumar Hirani for using “cheap dialogues” against women and s*x workers. The advocate and social activist Gaurav Gulati was referred to two dialogues where Ranbir Kapoor allegedly “demeans the status of s*x workers in the society.”
In the recently released trailer of Sanju, when Anushka Sharma, who plays a journalist, asks Ranbir Kapoor about his former girlfriends, he replies, 308, without counting the prostitutes. This particular remark has not gone down well with s*x workers.
This is not the first time when Sanju has landed in a trouble. Earlier a complaint, was filed by filed by activist Prithvi Mhaske, with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) against Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju. In his complaint, he raised an objection to the ‘toilet leakage scene in the barrack of jail picturized in the movie.’
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju is a biopic on Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Sanju has other stars like Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Karishma Tanna in supporting roles.
Sanju is scheduled to hit the theaters on 29th June 2018.
