An Fir has been filed against Kannada actor Dharma aka Dharmendra by a Sandalwood actress Sunita. According to her, Dharma allegedly took an objectionable video of her and threatened to show it to her parents and also upload it online if she did not comply.
Sunita has filed a complaint with the Bengaluru Police against Dharma, who is known for playing negative roles. Sunita has made allegations on Dharma of filming an objectionable video of her and extorting Rs 14 lakh in her complaint. According to the police report, on 6th June, at around 10 am, Sunita arrived at the Begur Police Station to file a complaint of extortion and criminal intimidation against Dharma. In her compliant, she said, “ On 1st March 2017, Dharma had called her on the night and asked her to go to Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwarinagar for a shoot. On the same night, Dharma also sent his driver Naveen to her house to pick her up. The driver dropped her on the shoot spot in Rajarajeshwarinagar. But when she reached the set, Dharma told her that the shoot was cancelled and he asked her to have dinner. He arranged food and cold drinks. After having food, Sunita became unconscious. When she gained consciousness, Dharma showed her objectionable video he had purportedly taken. He threatened Sunita and said if she did not pay him the money he demanded, he would show the video to her parents and also upload it online. According to Sunita, she paid a sum of RS 14 Lakhs to Dharma between March 2017 –March 2018. But on 27th March 2018, Sunita and her husband confronted Dharma and demanded that he return the money he had extorted from them. Later Dharma came to her house and threatened to kill her and her husband.”
The Police added, “ When Dharma allegedly kept extorting money from actress Sunita, she decided to file the police compliant.”
The Begur Police have registered a case of extortion and criminal intimidation under sections 384 and 506, against Dharma. Though the complaint was filed two months ago, but it came in limelight now after the cops failed to take necessary action against Dharma.
