Recently during the media interaction, Niharika Konidela shared her point of View on the sexual harassment issue in the film Industry. It is known news that Telugu actress Sri Reddy is fighting against Casting Couch in Tollywood and she has also revealed several names from Telugu and Tamil film Industries. On 7th April, Sri Reddy had stripped in public and staged a protest in front of the film chamber office alleging that local artists were not being given enough opportunities in the industry. Sri Reddy also complained of sexual exploitation of women in the regional film industry. When Niharika Konidela was asked about Casting Couch, the actress said, “The casting couch is just not confined only to film industry but also in several sectors.” She added that she has heard many stories of casting couch outside the film Industry.” She further said that casting couch could not happen without the consent of an individual as without consent it would be called a rape.

This year she made her Tamil debut with Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, unfortunately, it was also turned out commercially flop at the box office. Recently she came up with another romantic and family entertainer movie Happy Wedding, in which she was paired opposite Sumanth Ashwin.
