KTR (Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao), the Telangana’s Industry and Information Technology Minister, delighted all her fans on social media by sharing a wonderful throwback picture. The photograph posted by the 42-year-old Minister has been clicked in 2002 when he was too young. KTR can be seen dressed in a blue T Shirt. He captioned the pic, “Many many many moons ago. Back in United States; Oct 2002 #Throwback.” KTR’s young look is grabbing several eyeballs.
KTR is the son of Chief Minister of Telangana, Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). KTR has been awarded Most Inspirational Icon on the Year 2015 by CNN-IBN and Ritz Magazine.
KTR was mostly educated in a boarding school environment through 7 different schools in 10 years. He completed his schooling at the historic St. George’s Grammar School, Abids Road. Further, he pursued intermediate education from Vignan Jr College at Vadlamudi, Guntur, and went on to graduate as Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Chemistry and Botany from the Nizam College at Hyd. KTR holds two postgraduate degrees, Master of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Pune and Master of Business Administration in Marketing and E-Commerce from City University of New York (CUNY), USA, which he completed in the year 2000.
KTR started his political career in 2009 when he contested the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Elections from the Sircilla Assembly constituency and he won by a close margin of 171 votes, defeating KK Mahender Reddy.
On Friday, KTR, disbursed the Rythu Bima (insurance bonds) to farmers in Chandrampeta village on the outskirts of Sircilla textile town. The minister announced that the state government won’t increase the property taxes in villages which were merged into the municipalities in Telangana for another 3 years. KTR further added, that the power loom weavers’ wages have been increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 per month.
