Samantha Akkineni is currently busy in the promotional activities of her upcoming bilingual movie U Turn, which is scheduled to hit the theaters on 13th September in Telugu and Tamil languages. Recently during the media interaction, as a part of promotional activities, Samantha Akkineni recollected her childhood memory and said one time, she was caught by the police on road when she was driving her scooty without license.
Samantha Akkineni said, “ When I was studying in 11th, my father brought a scooty for me . He gave strict warning to drive the scooty only inside the streets of Pallavaram. So there was no need of driving license. But one day, without informing anyone I took my scooty and went near the airport. As I was driving the scooty without license, the police stopped me and asked for license and scooty’s documents. I requested them to leave me, so later they agreed.”
There is also a buzz in the film industry that once again Samantha is going to team up with Vijay for an upcoming project Thalapathy 63, which will be helmed by Atlee. When she was asked about it, Samantha refuted the rumour and confirmed the she has not been approached for the film. Earlier Samantha and Vijay have worked together for Kaththi, Theri and Mersal.
Samantha’s another movie Seema Raja, directed by Pornam, in which Sivakarthikeyan is playing the lead role, is also arriving at the theaters on the same day i.e 13th September 2018. Samantha will be seen playing the role of a village belle whereas in woman centric movie U Turn, directed by Pawan Kumar, She is playing a journalist.
U-Turn is the remake of the Kannada hit movie starring Shraddha Srinath in the lead. The story documents a journalist who investigates a crime. Apart from Samantha Akkineni, the film U Tunr also stars Rahul Ravindran and Aadhi Pinisetty in key roles.
