Police Case on Hansika Motwani

Hansika Motwani is currently busy in his upcoming movie Maha. Recently the actress took to her Twitter to share the first look poster from 50th film Maha, which is a woman centric movie. This action thriller is directed by debutant UR Jameel,  a former associate of director Lakshman, who has directed movies such as Romeo and Juliet and Bogan. Interestingly.  Last week, the makers released a couple of posters of ‘Maha’. Now, Hansika Motwani and UR Jameel have landed in trouble because of the poster. In one of the posters of the film, Hansika Motwani is seen sitting on a throne among sadhus and is seen smoking a chillum. Her poster has sparked a controversy and a police case has been filed on her and director UR Jameel.

According to the latest update, Janakiraman from Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) has filed a petition at the court citing that the Maha poster has hurt the sentiments of religious people. He further stated that action should be taken on Hansika Motwani and UR Jameel.

As of now, neither Hansika Motwani nor UR Jameel have reacted to the controversy.

 Hansika Motwani has created a niche for herself in Kollywood in recent years. Even though she started her acting career as a child artiste in some Hindi serials, she has garnered immense popularity in southern film industry with 25 Tamil films, 14 in Telugu, 1 Kannada and 1 Malayalam. She was last seen in Prabhudheva starrer Gulebhagavali, which was just average at the box offce. At present, the actress has three movies  (Maha, Atharvaa’s 100 and Vikram Prabhu’s Thupakki Munai) in her kitty.

Currently the shoot of Maha is going on in Pondicherry and according to the  latest update, Srikanth has been roped to play an important role. According to director  UR Jameel, Srikanth’s role will be a surprise as he will undergo a physical transformation.
