Vidya Balan is making her Telugu debut with NTR biopic in which Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the lead role. Vidya Balan is playing Basavatarakam, the late actor and chief minister’s first wife. The national award winning actress is very excited about her upcoming Telugu project and today she is celebrating her birthday. On this occasion, she interacted with media and opened about her journey in Tollywood and future project. Vidya Balan expressed her desire to work with Baahubali director SS Rajamouli.
Vidya Balan said that she was hoping to work in a film helmed by Rajamouli someday. After delivering successful movie- Baahubali series- Baahubali :The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Rajamouli has become popular at International level. Number of actors from Bollywood have expressed their desire to team up with Rajamouli. Now the name of The Dirty Picture actress has been added in the list.
As Vidya Balan turned 40, she celebrated with her family and friends in retro-themed birthday bash.
On the other-side, Vidya Balan will also be seen as late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The actor, who has acquired the adaptation rights of Sagarika Ghose’s book Indira: India’s Most Powerful Prime Minister, reportedly has said it was her long cherished dream to portray Gandhi on the screen.
Vidya Balan is the recipient of several awards, including a National Film Award, six Filmfare Awards, and six Screen Awards. She was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2014.
The actress was last seen as a radio jockey in the successful comedy-drama Tumhari Sulu, which was released last year and was decent hit.
Vidya Balan and Balakrishna starrer NTR biopic is being made in two parts NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu. The first part of the biopics will be hitting theaters on 9th January.
On the other side, Rajamouli is currently busy in his upcoming movie RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR.
