NTR biopic is directed by Krish, in which Balakrishna played the role of his father, actor and late Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao whereas Vidya Balan played NTR’s first wife. The movie had created much hype and curiosity when it was announced. But after the release, both parts turned out commercially flop at the box office.
NTR Mahanayakudu has been facing rejection since its opening day at the box office. Though the performance of Balakrishna, Rana Daggubati, Vidya Balan and Kalyan Ram won accolades and appreciation from the audience, but, their performance hasn’t helped the movie to put the box office on fire. The traders are expecting that NTR Mahanayakudu could earn up to Rs 5 to 8 Cr approximately in its theatrical run.
On the otherside, NTR biopic’s first part NTR Kathanayakudu earned reportedly Rs 20.62 Cr, and left a loss of Rs 50 to 80 Cr. Balakrishna’s ‘NTR Kathanayakudu collections are worse than Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama which left only Rs 30 cr losses.
