Harish Shankar is currently busy in the shoot of his upcoming directorial venture Valmiki, which is Telugu remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda. Mega hero Varun Tej is playing the leading role and Tamil actor Atharvaa Murali is essaying a crucial character. Currently the shoot is going on in Hyderabad and the makers have already wrapped up the shoot of major part of this upcoming gangster comedy movie. Now the makers of Valmiki have locked the release date. According to the latest update, the movie will be released on 6th September.
As per the official statement from producers, Varun Tej starrer Valmiki will hit the theaters on 6th September. The movie has Pooja Hegde as the leading lady and she will join the sets in July to shoot for her portion. Recently it was heard that she has walked away from the film due to remuneration issue but the actress is the part of Valmiki.
Valmiki is being bankrolled by Ram Atchanta and Gopi Atchanta under the banner of 14 Reels banner. The film has the music by Mickey J Meyer. Ayanka Bose is cranking the camera. It is heard that Harish Shankar is not planning it as an exact remake but will be making some changes to the script to suit the Telugu audiences.
Varun Tej was last seen in F2 Fun and Frustration, which was Sankranthi hit. The actor is popular for accepting the challenging roles.
