Priyanka Reddy who went missing on Wednesday night near Hyderabad was found on Thursday morning, badly burnt. The body of a 26-year-old veterinarian was found badly burnt and was identified by her family members with the help of a locket that she was wearing. Speaking to the media, Priyanka Reddy’s father said, when we went to lodge a missing complaint, the police were initially reluctant. Priyanka’s mother said the police talked to us in a belittling manner that she might have eloped. We know about my daughter Priyanka and if she is in a relationship, she would reveal it to us.” Priyanka Reddy’s body was found in Shadnagar, about 30 kilometers away, below an underbridge. She had last spoken to her sister at around 9:15 pm. The phone call audio suggests someone had offered to get the flat tyre repaired. DCP Prakash Reddy said, “We suspect veterinarian Priyanka Reddy was doused with kerosene and burnt.” According to the latest report, when Priyanka Reddy’s parents complained about missing daughter The Police said to them, “Your daughter might have eloped with her lover? Priyanka Reddy’s father expressed his anguish that they might have saved their daughter if the police responded in a timely manner. The actress Poonam Kaur slammed Telangana Police for asking Priyanka Reddy’ Parent such type of questions.
Poonam Kaur said, “No we don’t want to see this but this is rather the truth, the murders in Telangana surprise me. I did not want to post this as I was scared and Priyanka Reddy will not rest in peace neither the family for the lifetime. Catch the sinner and finish the sin .”
The Police are probing three possible angles in Priyanka Reddy’s murder. The first is the possible role of truck drivers, while the second is that of local villagers and the third, other motorists who could have been passing along the route.
Priyanka Reddy’s father Sridhar Reddy has demanded capital punishment for her killers. Strongly suspecting the role of truck drivers behind his daughter Priyanka Reddy’s death, he requested the police to speed up the probe.
