Shruti Haasan has signed an upcoming Telugu project Vakeel Saab in which Power Star Pawan Kalyan is playing the lead role and is essaying the role of a lawyer. Shruti Haasan will play the role of Pawan Kalyan’ wife in the film, which was essayed by Vidya Balan in ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ opposite Thala Ajith. Earlier it was heard that Lavanya Tripathi or Pooja Hegde will be roped opposite Pawan Kalyan in Vakeel Saab but now according to the latest update, Shruti Haasan has signed the project. Gabbar Singh actress has given her official agreement to the film.
Pawan Kalyan starrer Vakeel Saab is being directed by Venu Sriram and is produced by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor under their banners. Vakeel Saab also has Nivetha Thomas, Anjali and Ananya Nagalla who are essaying the roles of Taapsee Pannu, Kriti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang from the original Hindi film Pink. Vakeel Saab has the music by SS Thaman.
The makers of Vakeel Saab have already released the first look poster and the first single from the film on the occasion of Women’ day.
Shruti Haasan is also shooting Tamil film Laabam alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Telugu film Krack in which Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is playing the lead role.
