Superstar Krishna, the father of Mahesh Babu, has acted in more than 350 movies in his filmy career of five decades. As Krishna’ debut film as lead actor has completed 55 years today, Mahesh Babu took to his Instagram and revealed that Tene Manasulu is his all-time favorite classic movie.
The movie’ Thene Manasulu’ was released on 31st of March, 1965 and it was directed by Adurthi Subba Rao. Apart from Krishna, the film also has Rammohan, Sandhya Rani and Sukanya, in the lead role. The movie is based on KRK Mohan’ novel Vakrinchina Sarala Rekhalu. Krishna starrer was remade by Adurthi in Hindi as Doli.
In the early years of his career in the film industry, Superstar Krishna acted in the movies like Saakshi, which won critical acclaim at Tashkent film festival in the year 1968. Later Krishna acted in Pandanti Kapuram, that received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for that year. Mahesh Babu’ father Superstar Krishna is one who has played the roles across different genres including cowboy, western classic, mythological, drama, social, folklore, action and historical.
Krishna has also directed 15 movies and has produced many films under his banner Padmalaya Studios along with his brothers Hanumantha Rao and Adiseshagiri Rao.
Meanwhile Mahesh Babu is following his father’s footsteps in the film industry. Recently Maharshi star donated Rs 1.25 Cr to Chief Minister Relief Fund to AP and Telangana governments for the current COVID-19 crisis.
