Few days ago, Baahubali and RRR film maker SS Rajamouli created a sensation in the film industry when he said, “Oscar-winning film ‘Parasite’ is boring.” Now only this, the director also said, “Parasite didn’t work much for me. I felt the movie was a little slow in the beginning. We started watching the film a little bit late around 10 pm, and so halfway through, I slept.” This comment did not go well with few netizens and they trolled Baahubali director on social media sites. Prashant Kumar, director of ‘Mithai’ even went ahead and wrote a letter to Rajamouli for criticizing him for not liking the movie ‘Parasite’.
Mithai director Prashant Kumar also stated that Rajamouli copied a lot from Hollywood films. Prasanth also said ‘Parasite’ was an original piece of work that deserves respect whereas Rajamouli’ directorial ventures are nowhere near that level.
Prashant Kumar added that the movie Parasite has been acclaimed by masters of the craft like Scorsese and Tarantino. Originality deserves respect. You lifted entire scenes from other movies in making ‘Sye’.
Prashant Kumar accused Rajamouli of plagiarism and said that many of his movies lacked originality.
Parasite, directed by Bong Joon Ho, was appreciated for the performances of it’s cast, editing, cinematography and background score.
S.S Rajmauli slept off while watching Parasite & found it boring and slept off
More than anything, Parasite is an original piece of work. Originality deserves respect, especially when it is powerful enough to cut across language barriers and Parasite has done that, my open letter pic.twitter.com/XQt4QnCFYl— prashant Kumar (@zimbo_7) April 23, 2020
