Tamil director AV Arun Prasath died in a tragic road accident amid lockdown near Mettupalayam in Coimbatore. However, there is no exact update about where Arun Prasath was travelling to amid lockdown.

AV Arun Prasath is credited as Venkat Prakkar in films, breathed his last today morning. The young filmmaker Arun met with a road accident near Mettupalayam in Coimbatore.

He assisted creative and talented film maker Shankar and had worked with him in many movies including Vikram starrer I. His tragic road accident has come as a huge shock to his peers in the South Indian film industry.

AV Arun Prasath made his debut with the movie, 4G in which  GV Prakash and Gayathri Suresh played the lead role. Though the shooting of the film 4G was wrapped up a couple of years ago, but the movie never got released.

GV Prakash and director Shankar  took to Twitter to condole Arun Prasath’ death. Comedy actor and producer Manobala was also shocked hearing the news of sudden demise of the director and he shared a photo of Arun and wrote, “What is this? What is happening?”
