Everyone is aware of that Tabu, Ishaan Khatter, Tanya Maniktala, Rasika Dugal, and Ram Kapoor star in BBC One’s miniseries A Suitable Boy, an adaptation of Vikram Seth’ novel of the same name. A six-part miniseries, A Suitable Boy is directed by Mira Nair on a screenplay by Andrew Davies.
Now according to the latest update, Global streaming giant Netflix has come on board for romantic series A Suitable Boy, the BBC Studios and Lookout Point adaptation of Vikram Seth’ bestselling novel. The series A Suitable Boy begins airing later this month in the U.K. on BBC One.
The story in the book was about happenings in four families over a duration of eighteen months. The series A Suitable Boy is set in North India a few years after Indian Independence. Tabu is playing the role of a courtesan called Saeeda Bai in the series, with whom Ishaan Khatter’ character (Maan Kapoor) becomes infatuated, causing a lot of conflict. The recently released trailer featured the intimate scenes between Ishaan and Tabu.
The young actor Khatter said, “ The series A Suitable Boy has been an enriching experience and I am so excited for the people to see it. Maan is one of the most interesting characters I have read and portraying him on screen has been a delight.”
Tabu and Ishaan Khatter starrer A Suitable Boy is among the 17 new films and series teased by Netflix in their latest sizzle reel. Other includes Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Raat Akeli Hai, Ludo, Class of 83 and more.
