In the month of March, speculations went rife that Shruti Haasan will essay the role of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’ wife in upcoming court room drama Vakeel Saab, the part played by Vidya Balan in ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ opposite Thala Ajith in the Tamil version of Pink. However, the following month, Gabbar Singh actress rubbished this news.
Surprising one and all, again she confirmed her presence in ‘Vakeel Saab’ in an interview, but refused to reveal details regarding her character in Vakeel Saab, which is being helmed by MCA fame Venu Sriram. The sources say that Shruti Haasan gave her green signal to the makers of Vakeel due to Pawan Kalyan and she is expected to join the sets from next month i.e October.
In past, Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan have worked together for Gabbar Singh and Katamarayudu, now once again duo are going to share the screen space in Vakeel Saab, which is jointly produced by popular producer Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor. Nivetha Thomas is playing the role of Taapsee Pannu, Anjali and Ananya Nagalla are portraying the roles of Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang from the original Hindi film Pink.
Vakeel Saab, the remake of Hindi film Pink, will hit the theaters on the occasion of Sankranthi and will compete with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja starrer Krack which also has Shruti Haasan in the female lead.
