The Telugu remake of Malayalam hit Drishyam 2 is one of the much hyped movie of Tollywood in which Venkatesh is playing the lead role and the movie is titled Drushyam 2. Venkatesh Daggubati and Meena have already wrapped up the shoot of Drushyam 2, which is being helmed by Jeethu Joseph, the creator of the Drishyam franchise. The village in which Venkatesh Daggubati and family live plays a huge role in Jeethu Joseph’ directorial venture. Recently, a video showcasing the set erected in Idukki of Kerala for Venkatesh and Meena starrer ‘Drushyam 2’ has been presented to the movie lovers. The village is named Rajavaram and it shows the police station, bus stand, general store, houses etc.
The makers of Drishyam 2 built the village in a very realistic manner and this credit goes to Rajeev Nayar who designed these l sets.
The first part of the Telugu remake Drushyam starring Venky Mama fame Venkatesh Daggubati, Meena and Nadhiya, and it was helmed by Supriya. The movie which was released in 2014, was received well both by critics and the audience at the box office.
The Hindi remake rights for Drishyam 2 have been sold to the producer Kumar Mangat and there is also a strong buzz that versatile actor Kamal Haasan may act in the Tamil remake.
