It is known news that Venkatesh Daggubati and Meena are working together for a film Drushyam 2. After Venkatesh Daggaubti, it was Meena who took to microblogging page to confirm that she has wrapped up shooting for upcoming much hyped drama Drushyam 2, under the direction of Jeethu Joseph.
Venkatesh starrer Drushyam 2 is a Telugu remake of Mohanlal’s Drishyam 2. As the shoot of Drushyam 2 has been completed, there was a strong buzz in the film industry that the movie will skip its theatrical release due to Coronavirus and it will stream on OTT platform but Suresh Babu, one of the producers of Drushyam 2, has refuted this rumor.
It was also heard that Venkatesh and Meena starrer Drushyam 2 will start streaming in either May or June. However Suresh Babu clarified that Drushyam 2 will have its theatrical release first after which the OTT premiere will follow.
The Malayalam film Drishyam 2 starring Mohanlal, Esther Anil, Ansiba and Anjali Nair released on Amazon Prime, but the makers of the Telugu remake are looking at a theatrical release for the film. Drushyam 2 is a sequel to Drushyam helmed by Sripriya which stars Kruthika Jayakumar, Meena, Esther Anil and Venkatesh Daggubati.
