Kollywood superstar Rajnikanth has donated Rs 50 lakh to Tamil Nadu chief minister public relief fund in a bid to aid the Covid relief activities and Kabali star also appealed to the people to follow all the guidelines issued by government in the view of Coronavirus.
Today, Rajinikanth met Tamil Nadu new elected CM Mr MK Stalin and the superstar handed over the cheque of Rs 50 lakh to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as the state battles the 2nd wave of coronavirus.
We have already reported that director Shankar, Suriya, Ajith Kumar, Sivakarthikeyan and other top Tamil actors had also announced the donations to the chief minister’s relief fund and now the name of Rajinikanth has also been added in this list. After making the donation, Petta actor addressed the media standing outside.
The Union Health Ministry informed that Tamilnadu has reported 12,450 new Coronavirus cases, 20,905 recoveries, and 303 deaths since 8 pm.
Rajinikanth recently flew back to Chennai after wrapping up the Hyderabad schedule of his upcoming much hyped movie Annaatthe which is being directed by Siruthai Siva. Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also has lady superstar Nayantara, National award winning actress Keerthy Suresh, Meena Khushbu, Prakash Raj and Soori in the crucial roles.
