In the wake of the rising cases of coronavirus, Telangana government has extended the lockdown till 30th May. Telangana chief minister KCR spoke with his cabinet ministers through phone before deciding to extend the lockdown. After receiving the opinion of the Cabinet Ministers, the Chief minister has decided to extend the lockdown till 30th May. Issuing an order, TS govt allowed the activities for the 4 hours daily between 6 AM to 10 AM. The govt had imposed 10 day lockdown in the state from 12th May, to prevent further spread of coronavirus. The ongoing lockdown in Telangana was to end on 22 May.
The public transport services including SEIWIN, Hyderabad Metro, TSRTC buses, auto rickshaws, taxis will be permitted from 6.00 am to 10.00 am only. The movement of passengers and health care workers for accessing emergency medical services permitted.
For funeral gatherings, the TS government has said that not more than twently people would be allowed and all should adher to COVID protocols.
Chief Minister KCR instructed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to issue an order on the extension of the lockdown. And as the other Ministers are busy monitoring the Corona curtailment measures and the medical services at the field level, the Chief Minister has canceled the State Cabinet meeting, which is scheduled on 20th May Thursday.
