The highly anticipated Samantha Akkineni and Manoj Bajpayee starrer The Family Man 2 released on Amazon Prime Video on 4th June. Directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the web drama featured Samantha Akkineni as the antagonist. Many applauded Samantha Akkineni for her ‘raw and intense’ avatar as the antagonist Raji, whereas some called the role the best of her career. Now according to the latest report in the entertainment industry, Samantha has rejected the offer of Netflix for acting in ‘Baahubali: Before the Beginning’.
Netflix’s Baahubali series is a prequel to the first movie, Baahubali: The Beginning and the story focuses on the journey of Sivagami. While the web series may be counted as Baahubali 3, it will not be a sequel that carries on the story of Mahendra Baahubali. It explores the rise of Sivagami, from her childhood to becoming a queen.
Netflix earlier launched ‘Baahubali: Before the Beginning’ but later the project was scrapped and now the makers have hired a new director and team to reshoot entirely with a new cast and crew on a bigger scale.
The sources say that the team offered Samantha Akkineni to play the role of younger Sivagami in Netflix’ ‘Baahubali: Before the Beginning’ but she politically said no to them.
