65th Jio Filmfare Awards (South) will take place on 16th June in Hyderabad, where the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cinema will be honoured.
The most revered film award of the country, Filmfare is back, with the 65th edition of Jio Filmfare Awards South 2018, to recognize the best of films in South that hit the silver screen last year. South beauty Trisha Krishnan lit the ceremonial lamp and unveiled the nominations for the 65th JIO Filmfare Awards South 2018 in Chennai. The traditional lamp lighting ceremony was held at Reliance Digital store at Kilpauk Chennai to mark the occasion. Trisha Krishna, Mr. Jitesh Pillai, the Editor of Filmfare and TC Sudhir -Senior Vice President, Jio-announced the date of the most awaited awards night.
The main ceremony of the 65th edition of Jio Filmfare Awards South 2018 will take place on 16th June in Hyderabad International Convention Centre, (HICC) where the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam cinema will be honoured. The 65th Jio Filmfare Awards South will felicitate the best creative talent and some of the most successful films of 2017.
On this occasion, the Editor of Filmfare magazine, Mr. Jitesh Pillaai said, “The journey of FilmfareAwards South started over 6 decades ago, and continues successfully year after year. We look forward to the night of honour and celebration at its best at this year’s JioFilmfare Awards South.”
Trisha Krishnan, who graced the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp, also spoke about her association with Filmfare and said, “My first memory of Filmfare was winning the award for my movie Varsham. So that it was very special. It encourages talent to give their best. Filmfare is an award that everyone respects and give importance.” Trisha Krishnan added that she is trying to take a day off and be in Hyderabad to attend the 65th Jio Filmfare Awards (South). The young actress looked cute in black gown and grabbed several eyeballs.
