Anushka Shetty who is popular for delivering woman centric movies such as Rudhramadevi, Arundhati and Size Zero, was last seen in horror and thriller drama Bhaagamathie, which was released on 26th January 2018 on the occasion of Republic Day. The performance of Anushka won millions of heart. On its opening day the movie received good reviews from both critics and audience and it seems like its television premiere on 13th May went pretty much the same way too.According to the latest update, Anushka Shetty starrer Bhaagamathie received 12.6 TRP which is good for a woman centric movie.
A fan of Anushka Sheety wrote on the wall of twitter, “#AnushkaShetty ‘S Blockbuster Movie #Bhaagamathie WTP Deliver 12.6 TRP. #LadySuperStarAnushkaShetty. Hater’s this The Power of Sweety she Don’t need anyone to prove her Stardom.”
The film was directed by G Ashok of Pilla Zamindar and Sukumarudu fame, produced by V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod under the banner of UV Creations and it has the music by SS Thaman. Sushil Choudhary and R. Madhi handled the cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao was the editor. Thaman also shared a fan tweet about the TRP on his social media and wrote, “Watch for the score now!! #bgm!! #BhaagamathieOnStarMaa” (sic)
Apart from Anushka Shetty, Bhaagamathie also starred Jayaram and Unni Mukundan in lead roles. Anushka essayed the role of IAS Chanchala, who was shifted to a haunted house -the Bhaagamathie bungalow. The movie had released in Telugu and Tamil, along with a dubbed Malayalam version.
With Bhaagamathie, Anushka Shetty emerged the second Indian actress after Sridevi to have a $ 1 Million grosser at the USA Box Office. Currently teh actress does not have any movie in her hand.
After delivering the successful movie Baahubali 2:The Conclusion, there were many rumours about Prabhas and Anushka being in a relationship and even planning to tie the knot. But both the stars have refuted their wedding rumours.
