Ram Gopal Varma has already announced that his directorial venture Officer will hit the theaters on 1st June. But now according to the latest update, Bombay High Court has stalled Officer movie release.
The upcoming cop drama ‘Officer’ starring Akkineni Nagarjuna will not be released until the next High Court listening which is on 7th June 2018.
Recently Ram Gopal Varma wrote on the wall of Twitter, “Since many technical elements of #Officer with regard to the best viewing experience are taking much longer than initially planned , we decided to postpone @iamnagarjuna ‘s Officer release from 25 th May to 1st June”
According to the latest buzz in the film Industry, Ram Gopal Varma has also organized a grand pre release event which is going to be held on 28th May at N Convention Center from 7 pm. RGV invited all the fans of Akkineni Nagarjuna to attend the pre release event.
Bombay High Court ordered injunction and stopped the release of ‘Officer’ in all respects, in any manner, even in parts. This includes the release of the posters, the teasers and the trailers as well. Ram Gopal Varma is misleading the public, social media, fans, buyers, distributors and media by saying that the case is settled.
Nagarjuna is playing a fearless police officer. Recently RGV revealed that the Story of Officer is based upon true life IPS officer K M Prasanna from Karnataka, who was appointed as the chief of a SIT to investigate a highly reputed cop in Mumbai.
Predominantly shot in Mumbai, the film also stars Myra Sareen in female lead. The star cast also includes Sayaji Shinde, Feroz Abbasi and Ajay in supporting roles. According to the industry grapevine, Officer might have a simultaneous release in Hindi.
RGV and Nagarjuna have teamed up for Siva (1989), Shiva (1990), Antham (1992) and Govinda Govinda (1994) in the past and Officer is their fifth film together.
