Rana Daggubati starrer upcoming movie Haathi Mere Saathi, directed by Prabhu Solomon, has been titled as Aranya in Telugu and Kaadan in Tamil.
After delivering successful movies like Baahubali and Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Rana Daggubati is making his comeback as Bandev with his upcoming trilingual film Haathi Mere Saathi. According to the latest update, the makers have locked the title of this upcoming film. Haathi Mere Saathi has been named Aranya in Telugu and Kaadan in Tamil. Vishnu Vishal will be seen in its Tamil and Telugu version whereas Pulkit Samrat will play the important role in its Hindi version . Zoya Hussain and Kalki Koechlin will make their screen presence in all three versions of the film. Haathi Mere Saathi is shot in Thailand and Kerala.
Taran Adarsh has also confirmed this news as he wrote on the wall of twitter, “Titles finalised… Eros’ #HaathiMereSaathi titled #Kaadan in Tamil and #Aranya in Telugu… Stars Rana Daggubati, Zoya Hussain and Kalki Kanmani feature in all three languages… Pulkit Samrat’s part in Hindi version will be portrayed by Vishnu Vishal in Tamil and Telugu.”
Rana Daggubati attended an extensive workshop for 50 days in Thailand and spent his time with elephant before starting the shoot of Haathi Mere Saathi. The Ghazi star also shed almost 50 kg for his character.
On the occasion of New Year, Rana Daggubati shared the first look of Haathi Mere Saathi, that grabbed several eyeballs.
Rana Daggubati’s Haathi Mere Saathi (Aranya/Kaadan) is said to be a tribute of sorts to Bollywood actor Rajesh Khanna, who famously starred in the 1971 classic movie of the same name. Recently during the media interaction, the director Prabhu Solomon said, “Rana Daggubati starrer upcoming film Haathi Mere Saathi, will highlight the man-animal relationship. The story is inspired by true events and a fitting tribute to yesteryear classic, HAATHI MERE SAATHI(1971) starring Rajesh Khanna and Tanuja.” According to the buzz in the film industry, Haathi Mere Saathi is about wildlife conservation, centred mainly around elephants.
Apart from Haathi Mere Saathi, Rana Daggubati is currently busy with a handful of projects. He will be next seen in Madai Thiranthu aka 1945, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, and Malayalam film Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma: The King of Travancore.
Haathi Mere Saathi/Aranya/Kaadan is scheduled to hit the theater on the occasion of Diwali.
