Aditi Rao Hydari who made her Telugu debut with recently released movie Sammohanam, opened up about her casting couch/ sexual harassment experience. Though Aditi Rao Hydari is a big name in Bollywood but Hyderabad born beauty started her filmy journey down South. Like many other actresses who had to face the ugly reality of casting couch/ sexual harassment in the film industry, Aditi Rao Hydari, too, was a part of it. The topic of casting couch in the film Industry has become much-discussed topic and this credit goes to Sri Reddy. Recently in a chit-chat, Aditi Rao Hydari opened up about this harsh reality ‘Casting Couch’ and what price she had to pay for not fulfilling the demands of film makers.
When Aditi Rao Hydari was asked about her Casting Couch/Sexual harassment experience, the actress said, “I have been in this situation but I was able to stand up to it, make my decision and move away. I lost my work and I cried about it. I didn’t regret it but I cried about it because I felt so upset. It is true that casting couch exists in film Industry and I was shocked because how girls are treated. After the incident, till eight months, I didn’t get work, but I was happy because the decision I took, made me stronger. 2013 was very difficult year for me because it was the same year, when I lost my father but from 2014 onwards, everything went in its right place.” When number of actress are maintaining silence on this issue’ Casting Couch’, Aditi Rao Hydari showcased her courage and opened up about the casting couch (sexual harassment) and how she dealt with it.
Meanwhile Padmaavat fame Aditi Rao Hydari, is currently working with Mani Ratnam for her upcoming Tamil film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
