Earlier there was a strong buzz in the film industry that National Award winning young director Tharun Bhascker would team up with actor Venkatesh for a horse racing film which was set against the backdrop of the Hyderabad Race Club, Malakpet. The untitled film was the story of a jockey-turned-swashbuckling horse-racing gambler. Suresh Babu Daggubati was on the board to helm this project of Venkatesh Daggubati. During an Interview Tharun Bhascker had said that he has narrated a story to Venkatesh and is waiting for his call anytime. In the mean time Tharun is developing a good story to match the stature of Victory Venkatesh.
Venkatesh who was last seen in Venky Mama, a romantic family entertainer also starring Naga Chaitanya, Payal Rajput and Raashi Khanna, is currently working with Srikanth Addala for the revenge drama Naarappa, in which National award winning actress Priyamani is playing the female lead. Naarappa is remake of Tamil action film Asuran starring Dhanush and Manju Warrier.
Meeku Matrame Chepta fame Tharun Bhascker has given the first hit to Vijay Deverakonda with his directorial venture- the romantic film ‘Pelli Choopulu’.
His second film ‘E Nagaraniki Emaindi’ gave good identity to Vishwak Sen. Now he is all set to work with Venkatesh Daagubati.
