The wedding of Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mahaakshay was cancelled on Saturday. Recently we have reported that a woman, who is an actress in Hindi and Bhojpuri cinema, filed rape and cheating case on Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mahaakshay Chakraborty. The Delhi court has granted anticipatory bail to Mithon Chakraborty’s son Mahaakshay aka Mimoh and his wife Yogeetha Bali in the case. Mahaakshay’s marriage was to be conducted on Saturday at the actor’s posh hotel in Udhagamandalam (Ooty) in Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu but the wedding ceremony was cancelled after the arrival of the investigation team. According to the police report, when the team of police went to investigate the case at the venue of wedding ceremony, the bride family left the place. Further investigation are on.
A court in Delhi had earlier this week said there are sufficient grounds for registration of an FIR against Mithon Chakraborty’s son Mahaakshay and his wife Yogeetha Bali, and to proceed further in accordance with the law. Following the order, Mahaakshay and his mother Yogeetha Bali approached the Bombay High Court seeking pre-arrest bail or an interim relief from arrest till the time they approached the concerned court in the national capital. However, the Mumbai court dismissed the pleas and refused to grant them any interim relief.
The woman said in her complaint that both were a live-in relationship for three years and they got into a physical relationship. She alleged that when she became pregnant, Mahaakshay had given her some medicine which led to an abortion. In her complaint, the woman claimed that Mithun Chakraborty’s wife Yogeetha Bali had threatened her of dire consequences if she continues the relationship.
Mahaakshay made his debut with a lead role in the 2008 film Jimmy. He was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He also acted in an action entertainer The Murderer, which is yet to be released.
